Season 1 of Mud, Sweat, and Beards is set to have four parts, of which part 1 premiered on 4 April 2022. The series stars best friends and adventure experts, Donny Dust and Ray Livingston, as they try to visit some of the most rural and uninhabited wilderness areas in the United States of America and try to survive with the minimum items needed for survival. Donny Dust is a former Marine with the United States Marine Corps and has decades’ worth of experience surviving in the wild. He is also a published author, whose book Scavenger was recently published. He is also an experienced lecturer and imparts knowledge at outdoor events and camping events regarding survival techniques used in the wild. Ray Livingston is a former police officer and currently works in the transportation industry. He is an avid hunter and hiker. The show is produced by Leftfield Productions and broadcast on USA Network. The show’s executive producers of the show are Zach Green, Andrew Schechter, Gretchen Palek, Ryan Pender, Shawn Witt, and Matt Odgers.
The duo was previously part of a show called Alone, which had a similar concept of surviving in the wild. Therefore, neither of them is a stranger to the outdoors and wilderness. On Mud, Sweat, and Beards, Donny and Ray will show us how the difficult task of surviving in the wild can be done in a humorous and creative way.

Mud, Sweat and Beards Season 1 Story
Mud, Sweat, and Beards focus on adventure experts and real-life best friends Ray Livingston and Donny Dust as they make their way towards some of the most remote locations on Earth, showcasing their survival skills and techniques while building a “primitive paradise”. Donny and Ray will live amongst the wilderness in these remote locations, their favorite place of all time. Season 1 of Mud, Sweat, and Beards is divided into four parts. Donny and Ray will visit a different place in each part. The show will feature some of the world’s most remote and least visited places like the Louisiana swampland, Icelandic shores, the scorching desert of New Mexico, and the wilderness of Alaska. Each hour-long episode will focus on Donny and Ray as they try to enjoy their surroundings while also showcasing their survival skills in order to thrive in these areas which often have a lack of basic facilities like food and water. Donny and Ray will attempt to survive in these areas by building makeshift houses and living in them. They will also track down and hunt their food sources while trying to deal with the extreme weather, hunger, wild predators, and lack of drinking water. In the first episode, Donny and Ray feed themselves by hunting a porcupine. In one of the episodes, Donny and Ray attempt to navigate alligator-infested water bodies using handmade kayaks, while in another episode they build a mud house to stay warm during the cold desert nights.
Mud, Sweat, and Beards Cast
The main cast of the show includes Donny Dust and Ray Livingston. Donny is a 38-year-old, former Marine Corps officer, who currently owns and operates his own wilderness and survival self-reliance school called Paleo Tracks Survival. He has two decades worth of survival experience and is knowledgeable about all types of geography and terrains. Ray is a 43-year-old former police officer who currently works for the transportation industry. He is an avid hunter and hiker. He is also a part of the K9 Search and Rescue Unit in his hometown of Vancouver. He has a wife, Angie, and two sons, Dezmon and Marcellus.
