Anarchist is a 2000 Korean action movie directed by Young-sik Yu and co-produced by Park Chan-Wook. Set in Shanghai in 1924, the film is about a rebellious anarchist’s secret cell trying to overthrow the Japanese government’s occupation of South Korea through real-life propaganda. A few years later, the story, told from the perspective of the youngest member, Sang, presents a group of revolutionaries in a compassionate way through their own eyes.
In the opening scene, the protagonist begins to remember his youth, remembering the day he was saved from execution by an attack by an anarchist’s cell, which he later joined. After arriving at a safe home, the group begins teaching him trading tricks. He later participates in several missions, but throughout the film, he suffers from new job violence. Finally, the team was hit by a series of tragic events. One of the members was fatally betrayed in one mission and the cover was blown off in the next. Their funders, now sought after by Japanese and Chinese authorities, are choosing to turn their backs on them and instead support socialist electoral politics to advance their cause. This offends the group and they leave the larger organization and try to survive by making money through gambling and bank robbery. Over time, the group became anxious just by scraping, and some expressed their desire to return to their old secret way of war. Together, they decide to attack the Japanese government with a high-profile attack that will lead to a dramatic finale.
The Anarchists Season 2 Release Date
There is no official release date for anarchists and they believe there are no follow-up plans at this time. Anarchist was the first Korean-Chinese co-production in Korean film history. This project was put together by the efforts of the Korean Film Commission and Busan International Exchange Bureau using compounds developed in Shanghai. The film was filmed entirely in China for three months in Shanghai and neighboring cities with a budget of US $ 3 million. In the case of anarchists, the production team worked with a Chinese-based A-level collaborator to help Chen Kaige produce “Farewell My Concubine” and “Temptress Moon.” The actors and core production crew are from South Korea, with production designs, gorgeous sets, support talents, and hundreds of extras provided by the Shanghai Film Studio. This film co-winning the Audience Award at the 2001 Cinequest Film Festival.

The role of Sergei is played by Jang Dong-gun. Jung Joon-ho has played the role of Lee Geun.
