Toby Keith was born on 8 July 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma, United States of America (USA). His mother is Carolyn Joan and his father’s name is Hubert K. Covel Jr. Keith has one brother and a sister. His family initially lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas but then eventually moved to Moore in Oklahoma. Keith visited his grandma in Fort Smith where she owned Billie Garner’s Supper Club and Keith was inspired to become a musician after he saw other musicians who came to play at the club. He helped out at the club by doing various small jobs and sometimes sang with the other musicians who came to play there. He enrolled in the Highland West Junior Club and went to Moore High School where he also played football.
