An Overview of the Series
The story is set in the town of Skylin which is a fictional town in Texas that is a state in the South-Central region of the United States. Every episode of the series focuses on the same day over three years in a course of time. The three years are 1993, 1994, and 1995. There are two teenage girls in the series, one is Kate Wallis and the other is Jeanette Turner. Kate Wallis is a popular girl whom everyone loved and all of a sudden, she disappears one day without a trace at the hand of Martin Harris, the new vice-principal.
On the other hand, Jeanette Turner is an outcast who is awkward and wired. She takes over the life of Kate Wallis who is missing. She lives the lifestyle of Kate Wallis and being an awkward outcast it was a little difficult for her to mold herself into the character of Kate Wallis who is everyone’s beloved. A year later when Kate was found alive, she accused Jeanette of being at the place right there during the time of her abduction and witnessing it, still not reporting about her getting missing. After the accusation of Kate Wallis, Jeanette Turner becomes the most hated person in the United States for witnessing the abduction of everyone’s beloved girl Kate Wallis and not reporting this to the Police.
It is shown in the series that through various legal actions, broken families, relationships, and friendships everyone is confused to choose the right side as the story unveils.
